Broadband Acoustic Panels Options

Hi

After searching on internet i find two options for 4 broadband acoustic panels.

1. Polyester panel 2' x 4' and 2'' thick. Density 2.2 lbs/3ft

Hz 125 250 500 1000 2000 4000
NRC 0,25 0,6 0,9 0,95 0,95 0,9

From local store 10 pieces US$ 120,00

2. Cotton Panel 2' x 4' and 2'' thick. Density 2.5 lbs/3ft

Hz 125 250 500 1000 2000 4000
NRC 0,27 0,87 1,17 1.15 0,96 1,06

From International dealer 6 pieces US$ 74,00 plus US$400,00 of tax's and shipping

actually i will make 4 panels with 4'' inches layering 2 panels

I know that the NRC of cotton is better. but in practice do it will make a really difference ?

with the cost difference, i could buy more of polyester panels, therefore, Is better many and many panels with little less absorption then just ones with little more ?

As the polyester is cheaper, the other idea is 4 panels 4'' inches plus 2 superchunk bass traps with this material.

Thanks

I have not used either but from the lab numbers they seem to be pretty similar. If they are then go with the cheaper one and build MORE.
