Make a small room sound bigger?

Is this even possible? I've noticed with my room if I add correct amount of absorption it's kinda dead, if I scale back I get slap back. The room 18x23 with 8ft ceilings. It's not square, one corner has a booth built into it, the others however are square.

Enjoy it. Not being sarcastic here. Most people deal with the opposite, too much ambience from less than stellar rooms. If I had to choose between the two, I'd take the dry room anytime.

Use diffusers that are transparent at lower frequencies. Boggy's excellent MyRoom uses this design method beautifully.

I just checked out this thread MyRoom Acoustic Design I'm hooked, where can I find some more specific info about this procedure?

Use a room mic, compress the signal, longer release = bigger room

Yeah, I was not specific, I was referring to my control room.

I would suggest reading about LEDE rooms, RFZ, & ISD termination.

I used to make my little collage days rooms totally dark. Really dark, like black. Listening in those dark rooms sounded big on properly recorded recordings.
