Hi , I have a bunch of acoustic ceiling panels i would like to wrap in fabric and mount to walls....but not permanently. I get junk mail nowadays with what appears to be silicone sticky stuff holding it together but can be easily removed, has anyone used silicone as a non-permantent adhesive or maybe know what the stuff they use to hold mail together. I have used finish nails to hole some of it up but am looking for a better solution for this, I searched here but found no one using silicone as an adhesive. Thanks |

I think your mail is glued together using rubber cement. This won't work for what you want. Spray contact adhesive if only applied to one of the surfaces can usually be removed with much trouble, and any residue cleaned up with solvent. You could also check in a store selling stationary, but I would suggest you look for a way to hang them instead of gluing to the wall.
