My Room Orientation, Am I on the right track?

Attached is my 2D model of my bedroom, I just downloaded google sketchup a half hour ago, so bear with me.

I've done a lot of reading and learning about acoustics, bass-traps, the whole bit, and have a pretty good idea of what I want to do. I also have a good idea on what I need to do to measure the room prior to building my traps. What I am not sure about is the basic orientation of my desk and monitors on my room.

Am I on the right track here? Will lots of treatment in the entryway get rid of the audible standing waves? Or should I re orientate my setup in a different way? Thanks much for input.

That's fine. The only problem is lack of symmetry on the right side at the entrance because that's probably a reflection point. An absorber panel on a stand there, to match another panel on the wall at the left, will solve that. Then treat the rest as usual.

Thanks, Ethan. After taking another look around my room I realize the window is more parallel with the entryway than I realized, so it may be beneficial to put the bed in another corner and the workspace on the other side of the room.
