| view from 30hz to 400hz and set the time to more like 500ms. Looks like you have a ton of ringing to me. Also know your layout with dimensions of the room will help.

| Lives for gear | Hmmm, I think I have done a huge mistake! The input from the mic is not suppose to feed the monitors whilst testing? |

| Something does not seem right with the test. You may want to check your set up again to make sure you have everything correct. |

| Lives for gear | Hmmm, I will do so. You mean the enormous amount of ringing? |

| The peaks are only a little over 40 dB above the noise floor. Can you test at a louder volume? Could that ringing be some kind of electrical interference? 50 or 60 Hz hum & harmonics? Cheers K |

| Lives for gear | Might be my computer? but is the input from the mic suppose to feed the monitors whilst testing so that I get heavy feedback? If not I can understand the ring problem. |

| Gear addict | No, you don't want the mic feeding your monitors. There is your problem. |

| Lives for gear | Well, it does not very much better this time. This time the mic did not feed the monitors! ![]() |

| Gear addict | Well, it is much better, now adjust the window to a 60dB frame and it will look even better. |

| Gear addict | Can't open your file right now since I'm on my Ipad, but doesn't this look a lot better? |

| Lives for gear | Yes, after adjusting the window to a 60db frame it got a whole better. Still a ring at 50herts and some more though |
| | |

| Gear addict | If you adjust the window to something like 55 dB you get to see some of the tails. This could be valuable information. |

| Gear addict | Yes like that, but I don't think these are the tails of some ringing, this looks like noise. Its just to even. So no problem there, put it back on 60 and change the duration of the window to 500 ms like Glen said. |

| I redid the setting for you so you can see really what is going on (if the test was done correctly). Seems to me you are having the same problem people have in smaller rooms, decay times that are long in the low end with nulls and peaks. For this you need proper broad bass trapping starting with corners and if you have the budget (and or handy with power tools with knowledge of acoustics) you could go with something tuned. Note that tuned is great but is another level that is not as easy as one might think or have the budget for it. |

| Lives for gear | I can't really do that much with my corners do to a window and a door. Would it help on the low end to make something in the ceiling? |

| Gear addict | Ceiling to wall are corners as well, soo........ yes. |
