Thread Starter | Possible first floor room, an option?
I've been looking for a new tv mix/video editroom and found this: It's the first -and top- floor of an old school-building, formerly two classrooms of about 6x12 m, with a false ceiling of about 4m high and 1.5m slanting roof above that. The floor is my worry, it's a wooden floor on joists (?). I know the floor is not going to take the mass needed for proper isolation if I build a room in a room. But the downstairs neighbours (hobbyclub) are only there some nights and in the weekends, so if I decide to take this soundleak for granted, are there any acoustical downsides to that? All thoughts welcome, both isolation wise and acoustically |
