Is it possible to mount studio foam without using a strong adhesive

Hi,

I recieved this Arualex studio foam for Christmas. The package included two tubes (looks like cauk) of adhesive. Im curious to see if there is any way to mount this stuff on the wall withought using such a permanent adhesive. For a few reasons actually, first if they need to be adjusted or moved around, I could do so. Second, if I moved or wanted to remove them off the wall, both the foam and the wall (paint) would be damaged.

What else could I use to get these guys on the wall, without worring about them taking off the paint when I move out?

Thanks!

Edit: i called auralex. Looks like the only other way would be to use nails. Im ok with that but if anyone has another sugestion, let me know!

You can use pieces of chipboard or mdf then glue foam to it... so you can mount foam pieces like picture frames where you like... and even you can bring them with you if you move from this room

I've thought about gluing Auralex to a 2'x4' or 4'x4' posterboard/cardboard before, and then hanging that up with a nail. This would probably be the least damaging way, as you'd only have to use a couple nails instead of at least one per panel..

If you figure out a better way, let us know!

As you suspect, that spray adhesive will leave chunks of foam on your wall when you eventually try to remove it. It happened to me years ago when I left an apartment.

I would mount it to the thinnest board you can and as others mentioned hang it like a pic frame. The corner wedges stack on their own from the floor so you can hey by without attaching them.

Of course you can mount them without strong glue. You can mount them with weak glue... and then you can have the daily fun of picking up all the tiles which have fallen off.

For walls at least, you can mount them on board and hang them as a picture, but for ceilings there really isn't much of an option.

CD

Glue CD's to the foam. Thumbtacks in wall. Hook the CD hole over the tack....
