Thread Starter | acoustic treatment problem in small room
Hi mates! My first post here so welcome for me ![]() So i have a problem.First of all my room is too small.I have to notice that the right wall is made from plasterboard and it is not a "real wall". At the left up corner there is a wall column where i dont know if it possible to place there a bass trap. Also at the right up corner there is a window,so i dont know if it is possible to place a bass trap there too. Left speaker is close to the corner and this is the main problem of the too bassy sound. So is there a solution to reduce the amount of bass or i have to move the desk? My plan is to add at the left and the right wall absorbers (with the mirror trick).Would a absorber back of the desk be correct option? I am producing music for hobbie so i dont proffesional audio.I just want to get out a good sound from this room. Sorry for my noob questions and my poor english too Thank you in advance |

You can go ahead and just covering as many corners as possible and it will help, but you really need to slide over to the middle of the room. Trust me it will make a difference over all.

thanks for your reply.if i roll the desk at the middle, would the glass window back of the right monitor be a issue?i imagine that at this situation i have to use a very thick curtain..

The window may just help as it will let the low end go through it. I would move and see how things sound and go from there.

I would put the bass trap on a stand and straddle the corner.
