I like to use the soffit design for the wall to wall corners as it maximizes low end control and looks a bit more like something that would go in that area. Nothing wrong though to use super chunk style or just straddle panels though. Here is a layout with a soffit design in the wall to wall and ceiling to wall corners.

You can build a panel trap onto the doors. Just make the depth as much as you can without interfering with anything. ![]()

i dont see how that would work, it looks like the corners traps are 'square' so they stick out - i think it would maje it even more difficult to open doors.... what do you think about just covering the triangle point where wall/wall/ceiling meets as capoira suggested? would that be a better 'performance' option over floor-to-ceiling corner trap which would be about 3" wide?

Glenn ment the soffits at the top of the walls, those are the ones going around the edge of the ceiling in the rendering.

so just do the edge of the ceiling and don't even worry about the floor-to-ceiling corners? what about the other side of the room which is where my desk/gear is setup- the corners r fine and i was gonna built floor-to-ceiling super traps, should i still do that and then do i have to cover all 4 corners of the ceiling? or just do the ones close to the back of my room which is where the narrow corners are?

Just curious... how'd it go? I'm in essentially the same situation and need some ideas.

BTW, in trying to solve my own problems, I came up with an idea... mount hinged panel traps that can be swung "open" to straddle the corner when needed, but "closed" (flush against the back of one of the doors) when access/ingress/egress is needed. Not ideal, but a possibly functional solution. Maybe. I haven't done mine yet, but will post if/when I do.

You could also simply hang panels on your doors. Here's a pic of my similar one-door tight corner with a GIK 242 on the back of the door and a 244 on the wall. I'm not concerned about deep bass trapping at this point, just controlling room reflections for spoken voice recording. The other 3 corners are getting a 244 straddle-mounted.
