Thread Starter | The Dreaded Door and Traps
i saw the way someone here on gs made a device to put a bass trap behind a door. I wanted to put traps in all 4 corners at least...but now cant with the door. so should i put the one trap that is not able to be put in the corner (between door and wall) on the wall behind the door (flat) or something else? on the door itself? i need to be able to get in and out of the bedroom. whats my next option? here's a drawn image...thank you. The 4 traps are already made and have frames Last edited by NoPro; 6th May 2011 at 08:49 PM.. Reason: more info added |

there's a video on this thread with a very clever door solution: Basstrap in corner. BUT two of my Corner's have doors on them!

| Keep in mind that the most important function of a corner trap is to absorb low bass frequencies. A normal indoor door is usually not an obstacle for low bass frequencies if not heavy. The need of a trap in this particular position might be slightly overrated. Before searching solutions for problems that might not even exist, please make some measurements and identify your modes so you know what you’re trying to fix. Hi Nopro, I see your room is different than mine...and that you have already made your traps...but I thought you (and others) might like to see what solutions I tried. Original thread with pictures here: Hindged bass traps for corners with doors Let us know the outcome. Cheers, Aaron |
