Smile Quick Bass trap question

I have a small Iso room (8'x10') and I'm planing on Bass traping the whole thing top to bottom, ceiling etc. Would it be more effective to use 2" (say oc703) and have it 2" off of all walls,or use 4" 703 mounted directly on the walls?

Big Thanks for any help!

2'' + 2'' off the wall is more as enough for vocal rezcording if your doing that whole ''room''. If its for recording instruments then 4'' flat against the wall wil work aswel. Gotta be more specific about what your tryng to achieve.

Ill mostly use the booth for loud gtr amps, and acoustic gtr, mandolin, etc. I was planing on also using diffusion to bring back life for acoustic instruments.for real-estate reasons, I was wondering what is more effective; 2" off wall 2" or 4" flat against walls. Or do I need 4" off wall?

Thanks!

I would go with 4" flat on the wall. Actually I would go with 4" with some gap, if at all possible.

Thank you for your help! Looks like I need to lose a little space to do it right.

BTW I'll be ordering a few of your QRD's soon!
