Thread Starter | gobos. How much seperation?
I'm back in my old room. It's a nice sounding one with a fairly high ceiling but not extremely big (8x4x4 meters). Sometimes I want to do the live vocal thing but the bleed from the drums is too much. I don't want to build a booth as it will make my room smaller and booths that aren't big enough sound kind of bad. Basically I want to build some gobos to place around the drums. I need my drum bleed down with about 5 db. Is that possible in a smaller room with the use of gobo's?

I'm sure gobos would help if they're tall enough. I think they'd need to be at least a foot or two above the singer's microphone. They should also be very absorbent on the singer's side, if not both sides. --Ethan ________________ The Acoustic Treatment Experts |

Maybe some sort of cloud above the vocal mic/vocalist could help (along with the gobos of course)? I have no experience with that, but maybe an expert could chime in.
