please help with my room setup

Fellow gslutz, please give me some help. I have an odd shaped room that I need to decide how to set up (monitors, console facing where?) and also please give suggestions for acoustics treatments. All of the furniture you see in the room will be removed (bed and that is one of my old old systems). I have attached a jpeg with the room measurement called "zander studio" that is to scale. The others are pictures of the room. The room has symmetry issues. The larger part (rectangle) of the room has hardwood floors and the smaller section has ceramic tile. Between these two section there is a little 1'5" foot wall coming down from the ceiling (can see in pictures). The ceiling height throughout is 8'11". The door to the hallway is what I use to get in and out of the room. The exterior door in the tiled section I do not use. I have some ideas but I would like to hear your suggestions. I am also in the market for some new monitors for this room as I have sold my larger Tannoys. Thanks.

maybe create some window and door plugs to seal up the room (while still allowing them to be opened periodically...) and create a small false partition on the 3'4" edge to back some absorption on the first reflection point and keep symmetry on the front of the room. hang absorbers on walls and ceiling. add corner bass traps. make some movable absorbers so you can block off the side room and the closet when mixing.

Thanks Glenn for your help! That's what I was thinking. I appreciate you taking the time. Any monitor suggestions for a room this size?
