Some superchunk questions

Hey guys.

Im pretty much a n00b at all this.
I have some questions concerning superchunks.

I am planning on making superchunks for three corners in my small room (door obstructs the fourth). Chosen material is Rock Wool Flexi-A-Plate with a density of 32 kg/m3 (2 lbs/cft).

1. The plates at my local dealer measures 120cm x 56.5cm. This means that if I cut each plate into four triangles (making roughly a 33" face superchunk) the triangles wont be symmetric as one side will be slightly longer than the other by about 1 1/2". Will this affect its acoustic properties in any way? Or is it just merely cosmetics.

2. It is often mentioned that one would probably benefit from having FSK on the front of superchunks and that it should adhere to the Rock Wool. But one thread also mentions that it might be difficult to glue something to Rock Wool compared to OC703. Does anyone have a solution to this?

3. Theoretically, how close to the front of the superchunks can my studio monitors be placed? Im guessing that they shouldnt be too close but Im asking anyway. My studio monitors are Adam A7 with bassport on the front.

4. After measuring it shows that the most problematic freqs in my room is around 50 and 100 hz. Is a 33" face superchunk my best bet? I was thinking I should try that first, measure, and if it doesnt work then maybe cut the triangles in half to make a 24" face superchunk and try that on for size.

5. Has anyone made superchunks for the wall-ceiling corners here? In all my browsing here I cannot remember seeing one.

Again, please excuse my ignorance on the subject

The larger one will absorb more, but I really dough you would ever be able to tell.

I go back and forth on this, but honestly I would not put FSK on them. They will work fine without.

Just so they are not touching the monitor you are fine.

If budget is low I would recommend 24" as you could cover more corner area. That will yield better results over less area covered with a 33".

.
I come in early into the office, clean the bathrooms, sweep the floors and make breakfast before everyone gets in.

Alright.

Superchunks are built and installed.

Did some measurements and I was satisfied with the improvements!
Checked out some old mixing projects and immediately I heard problems in the bass region I had not noticed before.
From reading in this forum I learned not to expect too much but the results has definitely inspired me to do more treatment.

Recommend anyone to build superchunks.
They are cheap, easy to build and they dont really take up too much space.
