Lights on my Rack flight case?

Hey guys, getting a 3U ABS rack case in the next few days.

Ill primarily be using it for live, tuner etc. So i figured i'd need a light.

Now i dont want to take up a whole rack space lighting it, which there seem to be alot of units to buy, instead i want to try to build some lights into it.

Firstly i was thinking old electronics lessons style, a few small LED's strategically placed into a 9V battery and a switch. That could work, but just seeing if anyone here had any better ideas?

If i could get a lamp light small enough, there will be mains power available for the light, but needs to be rather small and easy to fit.

Saying that, should just buy a clip on desk light. But i want it cooool

I would suggest that you would need to analyze the ETC response...

Sorry...its become a force of habit!

Actually, we always used the snake neck adjustable intensity halogen board lights (now available in LED I believe) - for the life of me the name escapes me. As I remember I will try to post it.

Littlite was the brand I was trying to remember.

But Middle Atlantic (as mentioned above), Nady and Furman also manufacture similar products.

You might try Markertek for a selection from several manufacturers.
