Roxul Rockboard 60 DIY ceiling tile

Looked far and wide for any help on this so I just went ahead and tried it out. Using some left over (2") 2x4 Roxul Rockboard 60 I glued some fabric to it with that 3M Super 77, did some slight trimming and used it as ceiling tile. I plan to do many more of these as I am quite pleased with the results and they look great as well. I am satisfied, so far, with the rigidity of the insulation in regards to them sagging or not staying seated.

Cool

Nicely done. They should perform superbly. If you want more LF absorption, for say they vertical mode of your room, put some light cheap fluffy attic insulation above the ceiling.

Thanks DanDan. I have 3 bags of of that loose stuff ready to pack in above the ceiling. Not looking forward to it though. Very tight up there right now with about 1" of space above the new 2" Roxul to the bottom of the floor joists. I'm getting itchy just thinking about it.

Cool, loose fill, don't sweat (literally) the packing.
