Superchunk Question???

I want to build a few superchunk corner traps in my mix room and ditch the auralex/ARC setup. I have one corner behind one of my speakers that is slightly wider than 90 degrees. Will it make that big of a deal if one side has a 2-3" gap between the OC703 and Sheetrock wall?

No.

How refreshing. A clear question with all the significant factors presented. Thank you.

We actually tested our Tri Trap (kind of like a super chuck) with it tight against the wall and 4" away and it made little difference. So you should be good to go.

Thanks so much guys. This definitely puts my mind at ease.

How do you most people go about attaching the FSK to the front? Glue/Staples?

Spray Glue

Hi Keith. I have recommended that people try FSK on the front of SSC's but I have never seen this notion tested. I am pretty sure that it will be beneficial. It would be great if you could test before and after. There would hopefully be a large improvement visible in the Waterfall plots.
Ethan says the membrane needs to be bonded to the fibre. This can be done with a Spray glue which spits out a lacy fast drying web. HVAC, ducting suppliers will have those.
