Gobo Wheel Base

I was hoping some of you could help me out with finding a certain product. I am building some gobos and I want to put them on wheels but have the very low to the ground. I have seen these flat u-shaped plates that can have casters mounted on them but I cant seem to find them. I have a feeling that this is because I have no idea what to call them. Anyway, if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Here is a macro drawing of what I mean.

The 0's represent the casters. Disregard the .... as it was the only way my post would keep the spacing for some reason.

i noticed the wheels on IV bag stands at the hospital would be perfect for this the other day. maybe look at a medical supplier. it keeps a really low center of gravity good for a narrow wheel base with something very tall.

here's an example:

Pretty much like those. Any idea where to get them, or at least the metal bracket and I'll drill them myself?

Realtraps makes and sells such a product designed for their traps, but they should be adaptable to general use. Gobo Traps It details on the bottom of the page that the carriages can be bought separately.

Thanks, I just checked that out. $200 for a small bent piece of metal does not at all seem practical though. I guess I'll be putting a call through to my metal working friends. Ill post pics of the finished results.

As a cheap alternative you could try those "magic slider" or "furniture glides." They are smooth feet that slide on carpet or vinyl very easily. You could attach them to a flat board to remain low profile.

I decided to have some steel flat bar bent to shape for me. I am in the process of building the gobos, so when they are done I'll have the pieces bent and be done with it.

Look at the picture in the first post of this Stones EoMS thread.
See how the wheels are attached to the gobos?

Stones Exile on Main Street drum setup

Maybe try something like that.
