what frequency range for diffusers in early reflection points?

Hi all,

I was thinking of replacing the absorbing panels I have put on the early reflection points of my side walls, with some diffusers?

would this this be a smart move? if yes, what frequency range should I make the diffuser work for? and what type of diffuser would fit this role better (skyline, qrd, etc.)?

thanks in advance

SAC gave you some great info and agree a 100%, but (and I know I am WRONG when I say this ) I can't think of a reason why absorption in the early reflection point is a "bad" thing. I would focus diffusion in other areas of the room.

Curious?

iwobic, may I ask why you were thinking of making this move?
Are your side walls very far away? Have you treated the ceiling with a Cloud?
When side reflection panels are installed the improvement should be, and normally, is quite dramatic. Suddenly the words stereo and imaging begin to mean something.... If this has not happened for you there is something wrong.
Wrong panels, wrong locations, no cloud, reflection from your desk?
You could post a photo, or just tell some more details, e.g. the above questions. If there is something wrong we can help you find and fix it. However none of us is likely to recommend a random change for no reason.
