I made these bass traps, are they too big?

I made these and they are pretty sick. But I wanted you guys opinions.

They are 4 ft high and 34 inches across the front (almost 3 ft)

-Are these going to be ok how they are, sitting on the ground?

-Should I cut these in half down the middle and make 2 skinnier ones that I can stack on top of each other, up to the ceiling?

I have one in the 2 corners in front of me. (have not bought the insulation yet)

Too big?

Is there such a thing?

Seriously, no. They benefit from the larger size.

They would also benefit if you choose to extend them further up vertically to fill the entire corner as well.

Yes it is covering the tri corner, which is a good thing.

NO NO NO... The bigger you make them the better they will work.

Big

Bigger is better. It would be best to use light insulation to fill those. Anything in the range 1-3 pcf, 20-50KG/mcubed should work fine.
You will like them, which might encourage you to do the other half. i.e. Another set to fill floor to ceiling. See the home of the StudioTips SuperChunk
studiotips - tips on studio design, acoustics, and wiring. Note the corner absorber test. SSCs are the same width as yours. Nice one.

Size matters.
