Didn't get FRK on my 703 panels...

Just picked up a 12-pack of 2" 703 panels this morning, but I forgot/didn't know I should ask for FRK paper as opposed to plain.

These will mainly be used for side/back reflections and clouds, so I think I'll be ok without any FRK on these, but may want to use some for corner traps, which I know FRK is most useful for.

What are my options in terms of applying FRK now? I've read to use SprayTac to attach them, but searching online I can't really find any big sheets/rolls of FRK to use for entire panel faces (all I can find are rolls of 3" tape, etc.).

Really kicking myself for not realizing I could just ask for the FRK already on it... didn't make the connection when he said "plain"...

Yes, you want FRK only for corner bass traps and other places out of the way of direct reflections. But for bass traps you need to double up the panels to be four inches thick, and then the FRK goes only on the one side that faces the room. A good substitute for FRK is contact paper, that thin plastic stuff with peel-off paper that reveals self-stick glue. Not sure if it comes as wide as 24 inches, so you might have to apply it as two strips.

Awesome -- thanks for the tip. Since I need 4" thick for bass traps, I may just buy additional stuff for the corners with FRK attached already.

I was going to go 4" on the clouds and 2" on the walls, but maybe I'll double up to 4" on the walls as well since I'll have extra...

The FRK would have cost you more than the plain. Don't beat yourself up about it. Probably won't make a big difference.
