Thread Starter | OC 703 Alternative?
Have any of my fellow canadians tried any products from acoustiguard in Mississauga? I'm looking specifically at their acoustiguard ML product which seems like a reasonable alternative OC 703 which is hard to come by in these parts. AcoustiGuard The specs seem similar. Oh, by the way. This is my first post here, but I've been lurking and searching for a couple years. I recently completed construction of a small basement studio with the help of this forum. So I just wanted to say thanks to all the people here who help out with sound advice. I can happily pound away on my drums with my wife in the next room or in bed! |

| It's just 2" 4pcf rockwool with a cover bonded on one side. It'll do fine for flutter echoes and such. 4 inches is better for broad band absorption. -tINY |

703 and equivalents are widely available. Look in the yellow pages for insulation and HVAC . Ask for 3 lb/ft3 fiberglass and 4 lb/ft3 mineral wool prices. Go with the cheapest that meets that spec. Andre

Ok guys, thanks for your help. I did realize alternatives were available, but it's hard to find stuff in stock, within driving distance and without having to buy a truck load. They also will make panels for you, I'm waiting to hear back on the pricing info.
