Mystery acoustic piece need identified

So my friend gave me about 15 of these things in return for doing a little work for him at his speaker shop, and I'm not quite sure what their specific purpose is or who makes them, but here they are. I'd be eternally grateful to anybody who can shed some light.

Star Traps

Those are Star Traps, made by the Enterprise Corporation.
The work very well as you can see, they certainly caught you! :-)

Why didn't you just ask him what they were? My guess is they're either molds for making star shaped cupcakes (in which case you really lucked out) or some sort of Christmas decorations (not as useful).
