I have a cloud question,sir!

I will soon treat a 13X19X(9-sloped to 11-sloped down to 9 ceiling) room.I'm using 6 inch Thermafiber traps open-back (couldnt score roxul AFB and 703 is pricy).Should my RFZ cloud be just 6 inch gaped or can I drop it down lower and level off the sloped ceiling, which pitches the length of the room?

Making it level is fine.

A strange question came into me head. If the purpose of an acoustic cloud is to catch and weaken the reflections off the ceiling, then why we cannot try to catch the same beam of sound energy before it reaches the ceiling - between the speaker and the ceiling while it is still concentrated?

In the form of a visor above the speaker's drivers themselves? Or in the form of a small cloud just a bit in front and above the driver? Is it a bad idea?

Sound diffracts, so to keep it effective at lower frequencies, you want the absorption close to the reflective surface.

Ive always been thinking about this though and im not quite sure.
But what about putting a diffuser up as the cloud.
Angeling the ceiling in both directions, left and right, having the corner or meeting point just of your head. then the reflections wouldnt reach you, but would be bounced to the side walls...

Having an absorbent cloud is along the lines of LEDE RFZ design and in the most extreme, non-environment rooms.

The RPG/RFZ room uses geometry of the room to reflect early reflections away from the RFZ

You can have a diffuser for a cloud, that's following the ESS or Ambechoic design - DigiZine

But a lot of height is good there.

Proabably a good idea to commit to one concept completely, rather mix and match bits

Ok so my thought is not completly wrong, its just not very practical with normal rooms with lower ceilings. Thanks.
And why is it better to stick with one method? cant you use absorbption for ceiling and reflection for the sides or something?

I believe that's a Moulton room...

I wasn't suggesting stick to one of ones I've listed, just to stick to a concept someone has done before, probably more likely to get sucessful results, plus they're normally well documented

Yes!
I plan on doing some testing (to post) soon with diffusion in the early reflection area in a normal sized room vs absorption.
