New House...New Studio...Help Me Out!!

Couple pics attached of my new room. Just moved in to our new house and finally have space for a dedicated studio!! So stoked!! Still unpacking from boxes and such, but snapped a few pictures tonight (sorry for the vignetting...taken with my FX DSLR using a DX wide angle lens...) and wanted to get some feedback on what to do in my room.

Here's what I have so far:

5 X 4" 703 panels
8 X 2" 703 panels
4 X LNRD corner sub traps
1 X 6" GKI monster bass trap
4 X GIK diffuser panels

Obviously plan on the diffuser panels going to the back wall and will likely leave my desk lined up the way that it currently sits. Just curious what the best practices are around what should go behind there and if I need more? I plan on using some of the 2" overhead and at the early reflection points on the wall. I put a thick cozy chair on the back wall as well - hopefully that will soak up some low end.

The actual room dimensions are 14' 5" X 10' 9". There's that notch in the corner that is a PITA, but hopefully I can work around it.

Thanks in advance!!!

I would put the monster trap on the back wall and the d1s around that. As you said hit the early reflection points and straddle the other panels in as many corners as you can.

choinga, try to find some symmetry in your listening setup. It's crucial for stereo monitoring.

Then try to find best position for your monitors and you (listener) in this new space.

There are two posts where is explained (in short) how to find best listening position setup, (Glenn Kuras post and my reply to him) please find it in Room Problems²

regards
