What to look out for in RWA45 Rockwool

I have spent about 6 hours reading through posts here about improving a recording space and to be honest it gets quite overwhelming after a while with all the info.

I have sourced some Rockwool RWA45 from a local building supplier at a cost of 2.98 per sq/m and the roll comes in packs of 6.48 sq/m, does this sound reasonable enough? I am unsure as to whether some brands or rockwool contain more contaminants than others, in general are most as safe as the other? I have kids running around and the last thing I want to do is harm their health as a consequence of my desire to be a rock star pensioner!

I am going to be using the material for a vocal booth that I am constructing in my spare room but am still unsure whether it is necessary to cover the entire interior of the room, I would like a dead room but one that doesn't sound boxy. Do you have to have a fully enclosed vocal booth, I was aiming towards having one of the sides open.

Thank you and sorry for another thread about that damn rockwool!

1)As far as different types, it all works just about the same if the weight is the same.
2)The stuff is perfectly safe, but will make you itch if you roll around in it. Needless to say keep your kids away when you are building them.
3)If you want to not have that boxy sound then make it as dead as possible. I would recommend covering all he walls with it 4" thick.

Just a side note I am not a fan of VB as you are better to treat the room you have which will be better for mixing and recording.
