Ultratouch: Can you drill through it?

Is it possible to drill through ultratouch? I heard it's a bitch to cut. I would like to install more ceiling treatment and was thinking about sandwiching ultratouch between woodstrips to stiffen it up.

You can poke through it with a butter knife.

It's really floppy, so I'd be thinking chicken wire between the woodstrips.

It tears really well and doesn't cut very cleanly. Big, sharp scissors are in order for cutting .
