What do these do and were do they go

ok heres the deal
behind were i live there is an old studio,
amung other things,
the whole set of buildings are being torn down,

so i got a few freinds together and went and had a look at wot could b salviged from the old studio,

anyway i got a load of them foam squares (technical term)

i got a few with small-ish circle holes cut into them, all the way through, what do they do? are they bass traps?

and what do the normal ones do,are they reflectors? werre do they go?
any help appreciated

camera not working,

they are 1 & 1/2 foot in lenght,
1 foot wide,
the ones with holes are 4inch thick, the ones without are 3 inches

Still need to see 'em. They could be one of maybe eight different things.

they are made of Foam, like spungy black stuff,

so they are spongy black rectangles

I understand that, but they could still be several different things...maybe helpful, maybe not. For all I know it could be closed-cell packing foam that was perforated by the owner. I wouldn't know until I saw it. Sorry.
