Silk a suitable substitute for burlap?

Hey guys

got a few DIY absorbtion panels that I am wanting to use (typical timber frame with rock wool insulation style material inbetween). I know people use hessian/burlap fabric because it is essentially accoustically invisible, but I am having a hard time coming by it. I am wondering, would loosely hung silk fabric be a decent substitute? If it was pulled tight I'd imagine it could start reflecting higher frequencies, but if it's only loosley pulled around the frame it should be fairly acoustically invisible surely?

Any help greatly appreciated

If you can blow through it then it will work.

well I was going to order it off eBay so I can't really do said blow test unfortunately :P would I be right in thinking that the looser the silk is, the less it will reflect high frequencies?

Just wondering...
....loosely woven silk?
Isn't that almost an oxymoron?
