Intriguing Panel Design

Instead of attempting to absorb or trap various frequencies this designer uses a fractal/fibonacci design to diffuse frequencies evenly with remarkable results. I really like the concept and will try and hear a room with these panels. Another thing I like about them is that they won't disperse unhealthy particles into the air.

Ouch. Just got a price sheet. A panel like seen in the picture is 2100 dollars.

Maybe for Peter Gabriel's studio. This is going to be a limited market for them at that price.

One ceiling tile is 384 dollars.

Can you say....disappointed?

Hmmm... Saw something similar to this at a well known tv composer's place.

Looks interesting and they seem to be in favor of empirical evidence. But their website is kind of a mess. Many of the data links are broken, or say coming soon... But the articles they had were from 2005. Seems like enough time to get a link going... Their videos are is .asx format so I can't view them, even with Flip4Mac.

They may not have a firm grasp of the internet but I would be interested in seeing their testing data.

I'd be too concerned about giving my clients nightmares to use those things!

Hmmmm...I'd also like to see some test data. I'd also like to hear a bit more about the design intent, because it looks like they're designed symmetrically, which is usually a BAD thing where diffusion is concerned. I'm not criticizing, just curious.

yeah, those things are ugly. take your standard broadband trap for what it's worth, at least their not objectionable.

With these things I'd be waiting for sigourney weaver to come around the corner in a yellow robot suit.

You could always try the new Colony Planet Diffuser:

I hear they're pretty effective below 300Hz.

But seriously... The room I saw that had something similar to these had a really awesome fabric false wall installed afterward, so it looked slick.

The panels are pretty wild looking!

But I agree the Website is a mess, and it's not just the data section.
