Two sided but single effort gobo diffusor?

Would this work?

Say I were to build a 2D diffusor based on Lonely Ravens design here:

Prime 29 Diffuser Build - Using QRDude

Which is essentially a space coupler with walls glued at determined ratioed depths, would it work to diffuse from both sides? AS a gobo?

I mean, I know you're supposed to have the wells with mass filling it from the rear, but if I'm not concerned terribly with isolation, or what the thing does below the cutoff frequency...

It will work - one side of the panel will be a standard 2D diffuser and the other side will be an inverse 2D panel.

Naturally, there is a bit of tinkering...

For the inverse to be the correct ratios, the panel will have to be built to the full design depth.

To model this correctly in QRDude, model an inverse panel, with fins, but uncheck the menu entry: "Options / For 2D inverse panels, convert N-depth well to zero-depth well for shallower build"

You will also need to make the fins taller by an amount equal to the thickness of the plates used for the well bottoms.
