OK... I'll bite...

A 1D diffusor diffuses in one plane (standard QRD), a 2D (Skyline/Hemifusor) in 2 planes (horizontal and vertical).
QRDude addresses both designs very admirably.

What, pray tell, is a 3D diffusor? And what additional plane or dimension are we attempting to address?...as the theme from the Twilight Zone plays in the background...

Yeah.
Install VMWare Fusion, Windows & QRDude and have the best of all worlds.
They run great on a Mac - the hardware of which is nothing but the latest incarnation of the Intel Roadmap.

For the most greatest compatibility, I would install XP Pro; as you avoid the driver and compatibility issues so common to Vista and Windows 7 (as the cost of XP compatibility is limited to the pricier 7 Pro and 7 Ultimate modes).

And just about everything available for audio is compatible with XP. (But with VMWare Fusion, you could potentially install any versions and run them simultaneously as needed...)
