Low Frequency Waves

Say you have bass traps in the corners of your room that absorb effectively down to 125Hz, and say a 60Hz wave travels through the room. Is it entirely unaffected by the materials that cannot not absorb it, or is it a matter of that wave having to pass through those materials more than once to be diminished? Also, say I have a material that is theoretically 100% ineffective against a certain frequency; would that frequency still reflect less than it would in an untreated environment? Thanks!

There's typically a rolloff in effectiveness as the length of the wave increases relative to the depth of the absorber;

I think by definition a 100% ineffective absorber is equivalent to no absorber.

Absorption is not like a brick wall, so no it will slope off. Hey even a roll of toilet paper will absorb 40 hz, but maybe .001 of it though.
