Please help me get my room sounding better!?

My room sounds pretty awful and becomes a huge problem when recording drums.

I don't know that much about acoustics, but it sounds quite harsh and has other undesirable tonal qualities.

Here is a clip of a coincident pair untreated just to demonstrate the room sound, i know the playing isn't great in this clip but hopefully it'll give you an idea of what i am talking about.

The microphones used were a pair of of SE1As which aren't amazing but should get the job right, going straight into Line 6 Toneport UX8 which i guess is of a similar entry level quality.

pascal louis.

I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for DIY acoustic treatment to help solve this problem or a little bit of it that is cheap and easy to do?

I know I am asking for a lot but any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

It won't be cheap and easy to do, especially for drums. Spend some time
reading a few threads here and you'll quickly get an idea of what is involved
and how much it would cost. Everyone starts off with a room that sounds
awful. The more time you spend learning and planning, and the more money
you spend, the better it will end up sounding.
