i want to build a QRD diffuser, do you have suggestions?

Hello, i want to build a diffuser to put in the back of the room, in that free space in the wall near the window, down here you can find two threads with some pictures of the room and measurements. Honestly i would like to buy one, but for various reason (money and the fact that where i live there aren't most of the best brands - Real Traps, GIK, etc - and the ones we have costs so much, plus if i would like to buy them from US i will pay so much of shipping costs and duties) i can't.

questions:

1) So, i have a lot of MDF 3 cm (1.2 inch) thick, could i use it? it's good?
2) I've read a bit of stuff on the net, but how to chose on which frequency tune the diffuser? honestly i would like something that works on all the spectrum if it's possible.
3) Give me some useful links if you have them at hands

I've seen the Ethan video about diffusers (The sound of diffusion) and it's really impressive, if i could i would like to buy a couple of them immediately, BTW i have to try to do something as close as possible.

But, honestly i think will be easier, with the MDF, making something like this http://www.icixsound.com/vb/icixnati...ges/202_79.jpg

There are a lot of differences between this type and the Real Trap diffuser Ethan shows in his video? I know the Ethan one function also as absorber, but skipping the absorption part, there are a lot of difference in the way they diffuse?

I will and I'm reading a lot of stuff on the net and i will go deeply in the argument, but honestly when i usually start reading everything i feel a little confuse so i hope to find here, in you, an help, a guide

thanks!

The end:

Finally i finished my studio! photos and suggestions

The beginning:

Great video. I can definitely see some QRDs in my future.

Here's another interesting video showing a QRD in action : Video.
