800hz dip, more bass traps?

I tweaked some stuff today in the studio.

Moved the speakers around a bit and than in return moved two panels to correspond to the new first reflection points.

I than took some measurements (and listed to music of course!).

Below 600hz is now all within 7db!

However I now have a bit of a dip in the 700-800hz range.

I am planning on doing at least three more 4" traps in my room anyway (completely fill corners).

Will more bass traps help in the 700hz-800hz range. I am thinking yes but thought I would ask for others opinions.

Thanks.

Yep, that was it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction jdg.

I tried angling the desk (little help), moving the desk lower, higher, etc. Some of this helped a bit or simply shifted the null but as soon as I put a 4" piece of 703 on my desk top the problem was solved 100%.

I am making a 2" 703 trap that is now going to sit on my entire desktop. I will simply use a clipboard for any handwritten notes. My desk is exactly 2X4 feet so sticking a panel on top will solve this annoying acoustical issue and look fine while doing it. With the 703 on my desk top my room is currently accurate within 7dB and finally 100% first reflection free. I have even more 703 and fabric coming this week (still have yet to completely fill all tri-corners) and hope to get things sounding even better/accurate.

Acoustics are addicting!
