hanging batik over GIK 242'

I have a couple of nice Indian batik's. I was planning on hanging them over a pair of GIK 242 absorbers. I wouldn't think that would have a negative effect, but would that somehow screw up the absorption of the 242 panels?

I know I already replied via email, but just for everyone's benefit, no they shouldn't. That's pretty thin material if I'm thinking of the right stuff.
