Thread Starter | least destructive way to hang acoustic foam?
I live in an apartment, and about to cover my production studio with acoustic foam. What are some suggestions on good ways to hang it without destroying paint and walls? I don't want to have a disaster when I move out one day... Dylan |

I have used with success the auralex temp tabs. They are good for the purpose and work well with not very heavy tiles but are quite expensive... Currently I have all my auralex versatiles attached in this way in it works perfect. On the other hand when I tried to put some heavier stuff (denser and thicker foam) even with lots of tabs the tiles just couldn't stand on the wall and unstuck. As well you must be very careful when taking the foam off the wall. You have to remove the tiles first and than the tabs (very slowly otherwise it will damage the paint). I have heard that other people use just normal double sided tape but I am not sure if this is a good idea. Good luck! |

Foam tiles wont do anything for isolation.. but the best thing for you to do would be to build a pvc frame and stand it up on the wall and hang the tiles from the frame.
