Thread Starter | Green Hemp insulation got more than 50 percent absorption at 20hz
Hi. according to the following link http://www.thermo-hanf.de/upload/pdf...spekt_engl.pdf hemp insulation Flow Resistance is 6.0 kPa·s/m2 and i ran porous absorber calculator and got 50 percent of absorbtion at 20 hz look at the attatched img file plz yes it is only 0 degree incident but when i change the angle of incidence for simulating random incidence, i got more than 50 percent of absorbtion percentage closing to 70 percent... even though it is 25cm thickness and 80cm airgap... but it's awesome properties.. isn't it? |

I'm skeptical of "prediction" software. As they say, extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof. In this case, the proof needed is actual measurement data. Even a side-by-side comparison of hemp versus other materials could be done in a small room using room measuring software. But I need to see something concrete. A simulation won't do. --Ethan

I worked freelance in a place owned by a big time drug dealer once. He showed me a room they were building out, all the insulation was packed bales of weed. I always wondered how they were going to get it out without tearing down the room.
