Bass Deficient Room Circa 100 - 250 Hz

Initially I've searched the site and haven't come up with much to point me in the right direction. I just moved my home set-up into a room with a ceiling sloping up from the front and peaking about 3/4th of the way back, then sloping to the back of the room. The front height is about 8.5 ft, the peak is about 16.5 ft and the back of the room is about 12 ft. The front and right side walls are straight, the left and back are not.

So to get to the point, after setting my gear up, I swept the room with a sine way and noticed that when the sine gets to about 250 Hz it drops significantly in level until it gets a bit lower than 100 Hz, then the level seems to come back up. Listening to music confirms that this frequency range sounds un-natural and lacking. I'm listening dynaudio bm6a mkII speakers with and without a yamaha hs10 subwoofer. I've just been leaving the sub off until I sort out what's going on in the room.

I've read a lot about making boomy bass go away, but how about bringing low/mids back?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I would be curious to know whether you have any acoustic treatment in your room right now; and, if so, what kind. If you are fortunate enough not to have any problems with bass frequencies below 100Hz, it should be relatively easy to apply some absorption to reduce nulls in the 100-250Hz range.

This is typical for all domestic size rooms. The solution is bass traps. As many as you can manage. Much more here:
