Thread Starter | What to do with 15 2" panels for my room?
How's it going everyone ,I just purchased 15 panels of Roxul RHM60A Panels (6lb density). The panels are 2"x24"x48". Here are the dimensions of my room: ![]() (Disregard the sink area) Now my #1 priority is straddling the corners with 4" thick traps, and by doing so for all 4 corners, I'll have 7 panels left. I'm thinking add another 4" panel to the back wall, which leaves me 5 panels left. Then perhaps a 4" panel behind the desk? and 2" panels on the sides for the reflection points? Ceiling above mixing point (2", 4", not as important?)Anyhow, what do you guys think I should do with my panels (if I don't plan on purchasing any more panels in the near future)? Thanks! I'm learning alot from this forum.. |

it is and if it's crumbly ? I see it's aimed at marine applications. It's not easy to get an idea of the differences between the various products, even from a same company like Roxul. The technical specs are here : Roxul RHM®Paul P

Hey Paul, The board itself is quite rigid. How rigid, I cannot say, but it certainly is not crumbly. I plan on framing them so maybe it doesn't matter how rigid it is? The density is 6 lbs, if that helps. I can take a picture of it tomorrow if you like. |

Your plan seems fine. I would though use 2 4" panels on the back wall. Space them off the wall 4" if you can. You have some pretty mean nulls and peaks coming from that area. BTW kind of early hear so don't want to do math

most likely by Roxul, so I'm interested in knowing which ones are fairly stiff. The Roxul stuff sold at places like Home Depot looks pretty flimsy. Paul P
