So it begins... I picked up 4 cases of 4" 703 from SPI (spi-co.com) in Auburn Ma today. From what I can tell, I got an amazing deal on this stuff! $155 for 4 bundles (12 sheets total of 2'X4'X4" OC 703). The last time I ordered 703 it was online through Sensible Sound Solutions.com (nice guy). It however cost exactly DOUBLE per cubic inch, then shipping was another $70! $205 for 2 cases of 2" VS. $155 for 4 cases of 4"! Less than an hour away, SPI wins!

So I show up in my Nissan Altima knowing it'd be a tight fit... but luckily the SPI guys helped me literally stuff my car with 703! We actually had to cut a couple sheets in half, just to get them in the front seat with me. That was the deadest drive home ever.

Next up... I need to order the fabric and some wood to start framing these. I'm going to start with a cloud over my listening position. More pictures to come...

Well, I think 3 of my 4 car speakers are partially blown, so it actually may've been an improvement
