Does cutting up foam bass traps effect their performance?

We're just treating our new control room and to make the foam(Auralex type) bass traps we have fit in the corners we need to cut them in half, does anyone know whether this make them less effective?

Cheers!

Lightbulb

It's not clear what you're asking. A bass trap that's half as big absorbs only half as much. But simply cutting foam doesn't hurt anything.
