How high should I put my bass traps.

I've made 2 bass traps (and 4 broadband absorbers) and I'm about to mount them.

I want to the bass traps in the corners behind my studio table/station on which my monitors are standing.

My question is if it matters in which height I should mount them?

The better visual solution would be mount the traps so that the bottom of them are in line with the top of my studio table/station.

My studio station (@ where the speakers are) is around 43.3 inches tall (110 cm).

This way, the botttom of my bass traps will be in line with the bottom of my speakers.

So far, I've mounted one trap a little lower, but it looks shitty, so I'm really thinking of taking it up a bit:

Would that have any significance?

Thanks...

P.S. Sorry about the mess...

If you mount it behind the monitors it will help with SBIR (Learn what is SBIR (Speaker Boundary Interface Response).) which it looks like in your case a good thing. Keep it where you have it in the picture.

Thanks a lot.

Actually, I ended up mounting them with the bottom in line of the top of my studio station - before I read your advice. Sorry, got a little unpatient...

I had to pull the station out quite a lot from the back wall to make space for the traps in the "low" position, and it made some problems regarding my keys, piano and other stuff in the room.

However, I screwed in the hooks in the wall and in the traps, still having the possibility of giving more wire, and this way lowering them somewhat...

And if I cut off some of the table like 10 cm (4 inches) of the front of my desk (which is too deep anyway), I'll be able to pull out the station just enough to lower the traps - without messing too much with the rest of my tiny room.

But thanks again - and sorry for being an obnoxious little f*** who ends up doing things his own way after asking for advice... :-)
