Q on Portable Superchunks

Hey everyone, I'm *finally* getting around to making superchunks for the corners in my room. They're going to be floor to ceiling, but I have to make them portable as they will be covering some cabinets that I need to get to.

Since they won't be built into the corner, but actually have a 1-2" gap between them and the walls, should I make the sides solid, or frame the perimeter and leave them open? Or does it even matter?

The chunks would be 80cm (32") x 50cm (20") with a 92cm (36") face.

Also, regardless of cost, what would work better, 40 Kg/m3 or 115 Kg/m3 density insulation?

If only a inch I would think opening up the sides won't really make that big of a difference.
