6" Super Sub Bass Trap OR Studiotips Super Chunk?

The super sub bass trap is $125 for a DIY kit @ Readyacoustics.com.

Do do 2 Super chunks would be almost $200 plus frames and fabric.

Does it really matter? I have a small room, 10'x14'x8'. And I also have 6 12"x48"x2" acoustic panels..

Would that be enough coupled with either bass trap? Ima put some smaller foams traps in the rear...because of my two closets I can't do floor to ceiling in the rear.

check out my thread in this forum as I have a similar sized room as you. from my understanding, the more space that you treat in smaller rooms, the better. the key thing is not to overkill the high end so look into using some frk/fsk in conjunction with the other panels. Those panels that you have now would have to be doubled up together to make three 4" traps putting you at a total of five.

I'd say do some more research to find better deals, SPI Welcome to SPI - Specialty Products & Insulation Co. would be your first place to start, often times they have local branches. You can spend 250.00 in materials and be able to produce probably 10 more panels of various thickness.

For frames, look at Acoustic Panels, Bass Traps, acoustic treatment, sound absorption and more - DIY WOOD FRAMES

For fabric look at your local shops like JoAnn or Hancock fabrics or even Ikea if you have one.

Good Luck!
