Is 2" 703 or rockwool 30 good enough?

I have set up a little bit of my room treatment, but I will be needing to treat my reflection points now. The biggest issue with my room is that it has a low ceiling. I think it's about 6' 8" high. Not ideal at all, but hey, it works.

So the plan is to hang 2 panels on each side and in the front of the mix position, and then 2 panels up above. With the height of the room, I want to avoid 4" panels because I would just walk right into them (I'm tall). So would 2" panels be enough to tame frequencies? My room is very bright, and I am having issues with mid range smearing and a loss of stereo imaging.

I can post up some pics if that helps. The room is rectangular and around 18' long by 10' wide or so.

Yes 2" panels for the early reflection points are fine.
