Is there anyone here with experience with this product? A 4'x16' quilt sells for $90...

Quilts and moving blankets etc are not good acoustic treatment. Stick with the known and proven.

it's made out of SR25 and is used by all the major film studios, why not recording studios? Is it just a matter of sq. footage and cost effectiveness?

If all you care about is speech frequencies, then sure, I guess it will help.

Anybody tried (or know of someone else's experience using) this type of product for use as curtains on windows at first-reflection points--or would it be better to mount a standard panel on a stand at the time of recording/mixing/listening?

There's also this one:

Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets | Materials That Absorb Sound | Soundproofing Blankets - Audimute Soundproofing

Those blankets might work well to insulate amps or kick drums... looks interesting....

And, thanks Ethan, I really do value your opinion (even if I don't think I can aford your product right now... maybe one day in the future though).

It looks like to me that product has OC in it so YES it would work for early reflection points (What Are Early Reflection Points. SPOTLIGHT:Bob Ebeling - Revolution Studio) if I am reading it right. I would though be careful that the front is not reflective though. Hard to say as I don't see any testing on the sight.
