Hi All, I'm building these stackable gobos for remote recording and getting isolation when necessary. I'm packing these little babies with 3 16"x24x3 bats of Roxul AFB. It makes them kinda heavy as they are stuffed to the gills. Here's the plans I'm using: Death By Protools: Make your own Stackable Gobos! Am I over killing it with the material? It appears that I can make 4 of these gobos out of one large bat of AFB. Should I be fluffing up and separating the AFB bats or simply packing it in? I also chose to go pegboard on one side and this "sound cloth" deadening cloth from Hancock fabrics. Any feedback on this gobos expected performance by some pros would be great. I get to try them out on a remote tracking session in a week. Thanks, Keith |

Hey Keith. You'll want to pack it in to make sure you're making a pretty solid mass inside that gobo. Remember that you're looking for something that's going to provide some isolation without being as reflective as a wall, so you want it to be pretty dense in there. I have four 2'x4'x2" batts of 60kg/m3 mineral wool in each of my 2'x4'x6" gobos...fabric on one side, poly cylindrical diffusion on the other. Frank
