Tri Trap heights

I have a completely untreated room.

So putting aside reflections and diffusion to start with.. are single ~1M Tri Traps in each corner of the room going to make a big difference?

I'd have them floor to ceiling if I had my way, but the wife ain't too keen

I'm wondering if the height of this absorption is totally vital.. I just can't get away with having stuff in the middle of the wall basically.. do they still perform enough to make it worth when below the height of the monitors?

I was going to buy some GIK Tri Traps but times are hard so I'm going DIY.

Sure it would make a big difference. There are other things like panels on the back wall, how your set up and so on, but it would get you on the road of having a properly treated room.

Low end builds up in all parts of the corner so having it on the floor is fine.
